News and Information

Welcome to our Home on the Internet.

Update:  We are sorry to say that we have closed our Retail Store in Charlevoix, Michigan.  We once again hope to be able to bring to you a little bit of natures wonders at some point in the future by opening a new location.  We sincerely thank everyone who dropped in to visit us, and appreciate your patronage.

We currently are not able to process orders for artwork at this time.  We apologize for this, as we do hope to be able to create new works of nature in the  future.

Please feel free to drop us a note via E-mail.  Thank you again.

Timothy Talbot, Artist

The butterflies used in our artwork come from all over the world, and have lived out their entire adult lives - which for most is between 3 and 14 days.  These butterflies have been raised on Butterfly Farms or Ranches and after they expire naturally they are collected and processed for artwork such as ours.

Butterfly Farms also play an important role in helping us understand the life cycles of a butterfly, and through captive breeding programs have allowed the re-introduction of some endangered species back into the wilds in many regions of the world.

Many of the worlds Butterfly Houses - Live Butterfly Displays - import  butterfly pupae that have been raised from the egg and caterpillar stages to allow tens of thousands of people to actually witness the emergence of an adult butterfly from either the cocoon or chrysalis.  Without these farms and ranches, these live display facilities could not exist for your enjoyment.

Our Mission

The Butterfly Art Company is committed to spreading the word about how man needs to exist in harmony with nature, to not only take in the beauty but to foster an environment that is understanding and compassionate about all of the many creatures that exist on earth.

Through our artwork we are able to project several different species of butterflies found throughout the world, and educate people on the life cycle of a butterfly to bring about an understanding of how such a beautiful and delicate creature can co-exist with man.

We sincerely hope that when you look through our web site that you will walk away with a better understanding of the butterfly.
